At the women’s prison La Inca in Quito there is a disused bakery. Cuisine sans frontières’ project consists of rebuilding and it and making it functional. The bakery provides the inmates with basic training in the production of baked goods as well as the running of a small enterprise. After their release these skills help the women secure a living and reduce the risk of seeing them slip back into poverty and crime.

In addition to the training Csf supports the bakery in selling its products at organic markets and to restaurants in Quito.
