Mission Statement

Mission Statement

At Cuisine sans frontières (Csf) we ask you to the table to resolve conflicts and to foster a community spirit.

Independent Organisation

Csf is a non-profit organization. We build meeting places and training facilities in cooperation with local communities in areas of conflict in order to foster cultural connections and communication. Place of business is Zurich. Csf acts in a politically and financially independent manner and has no denominational affiliations. We are funded by donations, membership contributions, gastro-cultural fundraising events and government subsidiaries.

On Site

Csf aims to improve the long-term quality and sustainability of the lives of communities by implementing projects which support economic independence. Our teams meet the needs of the local population with respect and strong interpersonal skills while providing clear project goals and expectations.

In order to choose and set up projects experts with extensive project management experience in the hospitality industry and the trades volunteer their time to visit proposed sites. Local staff are paid according to local regulations.

Partnerships

Csf usually works with a local partnering organization or other aid organisations (GOs, NGOs and charities) in order to ensure the long-term life span of a project.

Project evaluation

Csf welcomes suggestions for new projects from around the world provided they offer opportunities for direct cooperation with a local partnering organization and are run on a long-term, economically independent basis by members of the local communities.

No Bureaucracy

To ensure an effective business structure we aim to keep administrative matters to a minimum. We are distinguished by the personal commitment of our volunteers supported by a paid professional manager.
