Get involved

Our volunteers have contributed almost 6000 hours of work without which our projects and the Kitchen Battle would not be feasible – Thank you!

There are many ways to support us: as a translator, cameraperson at the Kitchen Battle, helping out at BAZ Zurich or in one of our projects.

Have a look at our Guidelines for volunteers!

You want to be added to our pool of volunteers? Fill out this form and send it to volunteer@cuisinesansfrontieres.ch. Please include your contact details and details of your skills and which areas interest you most. We look forward to your message!

BAZ Zurich (federal asylum centre)

Once a month we cook and share a meal with the migrants living at BAZ. As a volunteer you help out in the kitchen and set the table. Most importantly, you are keen to get to know the residents.

Projects abroad

Participation in our projects abroad requires experience in the hospitality industry, manual dexterity and a working knowledge of the particular official language, e.g., Spanish for Ecuador, French in the DCR, English in Kenya. Assignments usually last a minimum of four weeks.

Kitchen Battle

We need a whole group of volunteers for the Kitchen Battle: as bar staff, as waiters, for the cameras, directing, photographing … Get in touch if you would like to get involved!

Translations

We are always looking for volunteers to translate our flyers, print materials and online information into English, French, Spanish and Italian.
