The refugee camps in Greece are completely overcrowded, several hundred new people arrive every day. The state is overburdened, private NGOs are helping out and covering the most necessary needs. However, more and more refugees, especially young men, have no access to sanitation, medical care, drinking water or food - they live as homeless people on the Greek streets. The situation in Thessaloniki is particularly precarious.
In this situation, Cuisine sans frontières supports the NGO Wave Thessaloniki, which feeds the homeless refugees. Csf ensures that the refugees receive a warm meal at least once a day in a safe place.
