In einer peripheren Gegend eine Beiz ohne Defizit zu betreiben, war schon vor Covid-19 eine Herausforderung. Die Pandemie hat diese Situation zusätzlich verschlimmert. Dabei ist die Beiz ein zentraler Ort: Man trifft sich, diskutiert, erfährt Neues, macht Bekanntschaften und nicht zuletzt: befriedigt das leibliche Wohl. Diesen wichtigen Kitt für die Gemeinschaft will Csf unbedingt erhalten und lanciert dazu ein neues Projekt:

Das Stipendium 2021 wird vergeben an Alice Huber, die das Garni Bar Post in Castasegna im Bergell führt – wohl die peripherste Bar der Schweiz.
Running a restaurant without deficits in a remote area was already a challenge before COVID-19. The pandemic has further exacerbated this situation. Yet, such restaurants play a central role: they are places where people meet, discuss, share news, make connections, and, not least, satisfy their appetites. Csf is determined to preserve this vital social glue and is launching a new project:

Through this initiative, Csf supports a hospitality business with an innovative concept that contributes to social cohesion in a remote area of Switzerland. The recipient business will receive:

Guidance and coaching
Access to the Csf network
The 2021 fellowship is awarded to Alice Huber, who runs the Garni Bar Post in Castasegna in Bergell — arguably the most remote bar in Switzerland
